About

Wheelis forge is a husband and wife team specializing in hand made knives, tools, and jewelry!

Joe Wheelis started making knives in 2014 while working full time as a paramedic.

In 2017, he left his job as a paramedic to make his love of creating knives into a full time career. In 2020, he started forging more and making other tools besides knives.

Whether using his experience as a Marine Corps grunt fighting in some of the most dangerous cities in the world or as a 911 paramedic providing patient care in hazardous environments, his appreciation for strong, dependable tools grew into necessity when his life and the lives of others depended on it.

Outside the shop, Joe enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking, riding motorcycles, and taking road trips with his amazing wife!

Alaina Wheelis came to forging through her husband Joe. What started out as an afternoon off work playing around together in the shop turned into a passion for forging that went from side hustle to full time job! She loves using metal and fire to make art. Alaina has an appreciation for one of a kind things so she likes to pass that on to her customers. Whether it's jewelry, tools, or a trinket for your desk, no two pieces she makes are ever exactly the same!

Alaina's favorite things outside the shop are Joe (of course), the beach, performing, animals (of every variety), MotoGP, and road trips!
