From preparing a backwoods shelter to carving a figure four trap and everything in between this knife has you covered. This knife was designed for the bushcrafter or avid outdoorsman.
The scandivex blade carves wonderfully like any other scandi ground blade but has the extra strength of the slight convex grind. Making traps, carving fire hooks, prepping fire sticks, to just regular wood whittling, this knife excels at it all.
The narrow, sharp point allows detail cuts in tight spaces as well as light drilling in soft woods to make holes or bow drill pivots.
The handle scales are thick contoured osage orange wood. They are very comfortable and designed for all day use without developing hot spots or blisters. The wood is lightly flamed to bring out some darker color. It will age and develop even more contrast as time goes by.
The blade has a forced patina to give a start to the amazing character this knife will develop over time with use. It also gives a slight corrosion resistance to the 1095 high carbon steel.
The knife rides deeply in a brown Jou Fuu sheath designed to be worn on the right side. The sheath is American made and also a veteran owned business.
